A Tasmanian Government and Community Partnership
We are excited to announce the Neighbours Every Day Grants for 2023 funded by the Healthy Tasmania Fund through the Tasmanian Government are now open.
The grants aim to support and encourage people to connect with their neighbours to increase belonging and decrease loneliness.
Community grants up to $2 000 will close when the $30 000 funding pool is up.
Applications submitted by 16 March will be assessed by a selection panel and then weekly until the grant closes.
Visit the Relationship Australia Tasmania website to find out how to apply.
Healthy Tasmania is excited to be partnering again with Relationships Australia Tasmania to support Neighbours Every Day 2023 in Tasmania. This partnership is valued under the Healthy Tasmania Five-Year Strategic Plan 2022-2026, which has a continued focus on improving social connection and the mental health and wellbeing of all Tasmanians.
Projects supported in the past included community barbecues, garden parties, artistic performances, neighbour packs, share stations, a community walking map, a sing-along, planting/gardening sessions, a tea ceremony, and other community events designed to bring people together.
Neighbours Every Day evolved from Neighbour Day into a year-round campaign with a dedicated day-of-action named Neighbour Day on Sunday 26 March this year.
The aim of Neighbours Every Day is to create awareness around the importance of social connections, belonging and respectful relationships.
Visit Neighbours Every Day website for more info, resources and to join the annual day of action.
